Condominium and Cooperative Law

 

As general counsel to numerous cooperatives and condominiums in the New York City metropolitan area, we advise boards and managing agents with regard to all legal issues pertaining to cooperatives and condominiums.

 

Our representation is grounded in over thirty years of practice that incorporates providing practical legal advice in the management and operation of apartment buildings. We counsel our clients on matters ranging from refinancing underlying mortgages, construction and professional service contracts, shareholder disputes, transfers to trusts and family members and litigation analysis.

Our commercial practice revolves around sales, acquisitions, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. We represent clients purchasing and selling multifamily, mixed use, office and retail properties. We also are counsel to landlords and tenants in commercial leasing.

A large part of our practice is devoted to residential real estate closings, representing purchasers and sellers of homes, condominiums, cooperative units and townhouses, as well as refinancing existing mortgages. We have been retained by numerous purchasers of new construction condominiums and have also represented sponsors in selling these units to the public.
